Analysing Documentaries


 

Image result for black lives matterThe Introduction of is documentary is showing footage of videos from a couple years back with a voice over explain what the footage is and how it links with the documentary as a whole. The documentary is set in the USA and the location of it seems to be an in theatre school where black children can find there voice to speak out managed by a woman who has a big part of the documentary. The format of the documentary is a one off and the purpose of the film is to inform and educate. The platform for the broadcast is an online streaming site. I believe that the target audience is quite difficult to tell because the whole point of the documentary is to inform others about how they feel and to educate mostly the youth to have a voice.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the documentary there are a variety of techniques used in this documentary. A technique that was used quite a lot in this documentary was interviews. I believe that the interviews were used a lot in this documentary because it has a powerful meaning about it and a meaning where people need to express how they feel.  The documentary also contains real life footage of killings of the victims from a couple years back.





The format of the documentary is educating the public getting them aware of the black lives matter campaign and why it is important.

Evolution

Evaluation Unit 9 Editing To begin with the purpose of my music video was to entertain its target audience. Which in this case was young teens to young adults because the song is flashy, pop and fits in more with that generation. It would not also appeal to the older generation. My target for my music video was to make the editing skills match with beat song which is flashy and pop. I achieved this target but with also with some faults. I edited my music video so that the skills match with the beat of song I achieved this tagert but the lip movement of the actors in the video did not really match the pace of the song, so that is something that I would have to work on.
